Managing the Ralph Steadman monograph by Chronicle Chroma was a monumental task, to say the least.

An entire extremely prolific career of work was photographed on his ink-splattered workspace. Each image had to be silhouetted, then color corrected and adjusted for the final paper choice. The casewrap paper stock had to be imported directly from the manufacturer in several shipments, and many rounds of testing had to be completed to perfect the several levels of silkscreening. Ralph’s handwriting was vectorized so it could be malleable and I nudged each splatter into place.

The final product was a worldwide hit! Featured on several Best of 2020 lists and scored its own 3D billboard in the hip shopping center of Stoke Newington.
