Hi, I’m Kayleigh!

Graduating from Pratt Institute in 2009 put me in a unique position to enter the workforce during a financial crisis. I planned to seek out screenprinting gigs from Craigslist and illustrate custom typography for wedding invitations, but when an opportunity to work at Rizzoli presented itself, I couldn’t turn it down!

Over 100 books and nearly ten years later I moved to Los Angeles. Simultaneously, Chronicle Books was launching a high-end art book imprint and I was a perfect fit to head up the production side of things for Chronicle Chroma.

Now a full-time freelancer, I am dedicated to proving how books encompass branding, packaging, and typesetting; all while keeping the user experience and marketing strategy in mind, not to mention project management! I also work one-on-one with clients to design websites and event details.

When I’m not attached to my computer, I’m infusing color in every other aspect of my life by figuring out a new recipe with my husband, cycling with friends to find vegan junk food, or reorganizing my T-shirt drawer to be a perfect gradient.

Many thanks to Meg Wachter, who completed this photography mid-pandemic. She is an all-around badass and daily inspiration to me. I’m sure you’ll love her too! Check out her work and hire her here.

A second huge thank-you to Maegan Gindi for photographing the majority of my portfolio in one afternoon. They are an accomplished storyteller and I’m completely obsessed with those portraits! Check out their work and hire them here.
